Screenwriting

Steindor’s feature-length black comedy Andalusia is in development with STILL VIVID (Godland, Heartstone) and the project has received two rounds of development funding from The Icelandic Film Centre. Steindor has also produced content for the 2023 European Film Awards and holds an MA in screenwriting from MetFilm School Berlin.


AWARD-WINNING Journalism work

Steindor is a two time winner of the Icelandic Journalism award. Along with his colleague Freyr Rögnvaldson at Stundin, he received the 2018 award for investigative journalism for their writing on land ownership in Iceland. In 2019, he and a number of colleagues at Stundin won the award for coverage for a series of articles on the climate crisis. Steindor has written for a number of Icelandic and English-language publications, including Heimildin (previously Stundin), Iceland Review, Reykjavík Grapevine, Rás 1 (Icelandic National Radio), Fréttablaðið and the Economist Intelligence Unit.

pro bono work

For the Berlin-based community radio station and fundraising platform Refuge Worldwide, Steindor has written a number of articles and interviews in English about local issues, for example housing policy, the delivery wars and charity work for the unhoused.
